I'm doing this once again to archive my thoughts at the time they are going on.
Right now it's 3:52am on Dec. 18. 2009. A few hours ago I went to get a Christmas tree with my girlfriend. The tree was the easiest part. We spent another 2 hours looking for ornaments, lights and a stand. It was completely absurd the places sold out of lights and stands still well over a week from Christmas. Since this is the first time I'm spending Christmas away from my family, and lack of apartment space, we decided to get a smaller tree that could be decorated pretty quickly. It's probably just over 5 feet tall. It's kind of absurd, because the same tree in Chagrin would have cost about $50 and we paid $20. Guess that happens when you don't live in a small town where everything is absurdly priced because they think everyone has money.
Finally got HEM, Table Ninja and Poker Shortcuts all working together. Jesus, that was an effort. Will be starting tomorrow at 12:15pm latest ($11 20k turbo,) and probably finishing regging with the $7.50 (for whatever reason no gtd) turbo at 5pm. If I'm up early, I'll just start in on $12/180s.
I've gotten lucky as hell lately, making a good friend in one of the hardest grinding and most profitable MTT players in the world, who is going to take me on as his only student thus far and back me. Yeah, I rule :). Only reason I'd laugh about this is because my entire interaction with him occurred over me being a tilted douche to him in some random 440/180 and we got into a pretty in-depth discussion about a hand we both played on the bubble.
After reading the bevy of blogs, I feel like updating this regularaly and just posting will do nothing but make me focus more. It's the some-what bi-polar entries from Assassinato and the who-gives-a-shit entries from Bond18 that basically made me venture into doing this again. I look up to both, as they're both amazing players and amazing writers, granted they may share different views on many things in life.
Going to sleep. Play tomorrow. Decorate tree. Picture coming :)

Summer Is Already Half Over
And what have I done? Nothing. Blatantly, nothing.
I've grinded SNG's, which, at first was sweeeet but yesterday literally drove me so s00icide, so I'm taking a day or two off. I also interviewed for a marketing consulting job, which would last the next few months til I peace to Vegas, just to supplement my non-existant income, because apparently my bank thinks I'm a drug dealer / money launderer.
Oh yeah, to that. So I cashed out two checks on Stars, deposited both of them in my local bank (Huntington) over Memorial weekend, and received a nice little phone call once I got back to school that "I may or may not be an international drug lord," in their opinion. Apparently they aren't too fond of checks coming from foreign islands, but somehow I have never EVER had a problem with other sites like PokerRoom and FTP. Another reason I FUCKING HATE STARS. First reason, search for Inni's "This is not a random site, by any means," talk about their RNG, as it DOES NOT FUCKING EXIST. I'm starting to feel the same way about FTP. I mean, honestly, how many times can KK < AK? Within the last 100 games I've kept track of the beats (yes, I'm a tool,) it's happened 27 times. This is WAYYYYYYYYYYY fucking beyond expectation. You mean to tell me that, in 100 games AK will win over a lower pair 27 times? Sure, I'll buy it, easily. You mean to tell me that within a 100 game span, where KK is up against AK in maybe Maybe MAYBE MAYYYBEEEEEEEEE EVERRRRRRRRRR 40 times, AK will win 27 times? I don't fucking think so. I hate online poker.
Find someone that can play better at any level less than the $100's, and I bet I run worse, yet still make fundamentally more sound push/fold/calls. Flat out, I've had the very best in the SNG world look at my HH's and it just comes down to "gg, ul." FUCK VARIENCE, because, at some point, that dumb shit turns around. When you continually get it in with TT or AQ on the bubble, and constantly get called by Q3 and 89dd, and can't hold a SINGLE hand, you have to wonder about the sites. Sorry, I'm not new money, PS or FTP. Please stop punishing me.
/rant
As much as I've hated poker lately, it's still brought me some really good friends, and some really good times. I hate my bank cause now I'm flat-out unable to get out to Vegas for the 4th of July, but it might be for the better, as that could absolutely wreck any money I have and will have in the future, just cause that happens in Vegas. I'll know within 2ish weeks though whether or not I'll be living with Clay, which I fully hope to be, and anticipate on doing.
Big congrats to Chris for chopping a $1k Venetian for $30k. Who ever said live tourneys are rigged? Oh, wait....they still are. Cash a WSOP for the love of God.

Onward with life...
So I finished school. I decided it'd be a sweet idea to drive back on Friday around 9 PM in an INSANE monsoon (yes, monsoon) and it sucked ass. Everyone was driving like 20 mph for about 45 minutes which tilted me beyond belief. Once I finally got back towards civlization it was a lot better, as the rain was slowing and people who drive on a regular basis knew how to drive. Thank God.
Being home from school obv. has it's positive and negatives. Negatives in that I will never be living that life again. Postitives in that I am moving on, and clearly no one can party forever. I love my new house, and I'm really glad I moved into it. I have some random ass job interviews for just a summer position until I move to Vegas, and I successfully missed the first one due to SNGs until 10:30 am yesterday. I'm really good at life. I made up some BS excuse to the company, but hopefully I won't even have to worry about a job, as I plan on playing about 7-8 hours per day, which will, hopefully, put me at ~80 games a day. If I don't run like hell, which I haven't been lately, should make me more than anyone I know working a real job.
I'm about to go play (And I plan on doing this every night, the Eurodonks are the easiest money to be made,) and I'll stop playing around 9 am. I'm just figuring out the schedule I need to be playing to maximize profits, and this is it. I don't really give a shit about my sleeping pattern if I'm doing this, as long as I still get to see Kelsey, who works stupid ass hours anyway, and my friends every once in a while during the week, cause they all work too.
glglgllllll to Phil Galfond in the $5k PLO rebuy event, he's CL as I'm writing this, and hopefully he can ship a solid $600k. GL to Steve in the $2.5k NLHE event, as he's one of the CLs, but it's only been through two days.
Finally, FUCKING WIN SOME RACES CHRIS, JESUS CHRIST. And glglgllllllllll to you most of all man.
P.S. I just wanna be in Vegas
Edit: I almost forgot. Fuck life, according to Kevin (Kice32). He got HU in the $215 HU matches, only to lose like the 2nd hand AK to K9. The asshole rivered a 9 to take him down to something sick like 200 chips, and it was just SOOOOO brutal. $11k is nothing to scoff at, but $22.3k woulda been a lot nicer, especially when you played the hand perfectly. F life.

So bittersweet
I love being at OU. I love being done with school. I hate being away from Vegas. I hate that almost all of my friends are out there cashing their dreams. I love the fact that, for the next 3 months until I move, I can make me and my backer money playing SNGs finally. I no longer want to shoot myself every time I sit down to play (Thanks site switch.)
I'm officially done with college. Forever. How weird does that sound? Well, it's even weirder to type. I'm about to go home to my new house, help my mom get settled in, and just kick it all summer, it looks like. What's sad about that? I hope to do absolutely nothing but play for about 8 hours a day. I'm planning like 1 PM - 9 PM sessions, and depending on how it goes, wayyyy later into the night. It shouldn't be too hard when all of my best friends are either working their asses off already, or can't go out every night. This is the first summer where that's going to be the case, and it kinda sucks, but at least I'll get to see them for a few last weekends before we all part ways. Real world sucks, right? My friends are going to Chicago, New York, Jacksonville, and Austin. And those are the ones who haven't even left yet. My best friend has already been in LA for about 8 months, but soon enough, I'll be within a few hours of him, so that's not all that bad.
It's so crazy waking up and knowing within days you'll be in the real world. I envy some of you, and I know some of you can't wait to get out of what you're doing now. Just enjoy what you have, for sure, and keep doing what you love to do.
BTW, Spain ftw in the next few hours. I <3 soccer now that I follow what Clay says (Minus yesterday, which he told me I wasn't able to be enough on to drop a bomb)

Here's some examples of how awesome I run
Only two because they just happened, but I have to bitch somewhere. Earlier in the day before either of these I literally got one outted again in the first freaking level. JJ < AA < AJ. Go figure, right? Onto the fun stuff, my favorite one is first, only because again I got one outted by TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE!

Wow it's been a while
So I'm laying here, hungover as all hell, doing everything in my power to avoid finishing a paper that was due at 5 pm last Friday. I also skipped a group meeting, just from general all-around laziness. Soooo, here we are.
This weekend was entertaining, to say the least. Gooch came for his birthday (like he needed a reason,) and Cait came just to party. That's mainly why I didn't get my paper done Friday. I meant to take a 10 minute break around 4 pm and go over to Spressers. That turned out into me being blacked out at the bar by 9 pm. Saturday was a whole lot of the same. I intentionally didn't go to Millfest so I could play the 100k freeroll for Goldstar+ at 3 pm. Well I played 2 sets of SNGs before that and managed to non-cash every single one of them except for the last one, which I won, but who gives a shit? Going 1/12 is atrocious, to say the least. I honestly run every key hand through an ICM calculator after I bust and guess what? I'm making the right moves every single time, and getting terirble outcomes every single time. Such is life. The 100k was pretty super-duper ghey, too. I hate MTTs to begin with, so that didn't help. I basically stuck around the starting stack until the first break, and busted the first hand back. I had T7 in the BB, folds to button, flats, SB folds, I check. Flop 89T rainbow, check to me, I shove, he calls, tables KJ. Obv. turn K and if that wasn't a big enough fuck you, river 7 for the straight.
After that debocle I was more than in the mood to drink, even though nearly everyone was blacked out or passed out at this point from Millfest. I ended up just killing half a 12 at Spressers while throwing waterballoons (tiny NEEPLE balloons) at unsuspecting O'Bettys patrons below. Then it turned into everyone waking up and going to the bar, and just general blacking out.
And I absolutely just got an email from another group saying we aren't meeting tomorrow (which means we aren't going to class,) so I'm done til Tuesday. On that note, it's time to go to the bar and further put this paper off.
Pz kids.
Oh, P.S. glglglgl to Mike Sowers in the $10k Pot-Limit HE event #1 at WSOP. He's at the FT sitting 2nd in chips. Take this one down bud. glgl to AMAK who also FT'ed, but obv Sowers is winning it.

New record?
So this is the 2nd night this week I haven't gone out at all or had even a beer. This is honestly a personal best for the last 5-ish years of my life. At least as long as I have been at college. That's pretty sad, but who would have ever thought poker would be a healthy life choice?
One of the reasons I didn't go out was that it's Palmerfest tomorrow. Most of you probably don't know what that is, but there's a street at my school (Palmer, obv.) that basically gets blocked off and every house on the street has insane amounts of kegs. See below picture for our house's stash last year. There's probably about 40-ish houses and apartments on the street and it's an all-out riot. This year I think Playboy and Four alcohol/energy drink are sponsoring my friend's house, which I'll be at promptly at 9 am to begin the day-long black out.
Not too much going on poker-wise. All my LAPTs are step 5 tickets now, and it sucks because the games haven't been running much. I was tempted to play in one of the most -ev games I saw just because it's getting close, but the table had Ch0ppy, Jorj, DSavo, Azntracker and P0ker H0 (even though cmoney told me I should take every opportunity to play with him,) so I passed that one up. I did play one earlier however, we got down to 3 handed, me, H0 and some no-name. H0 barely had me covered and was playing like the complete nit he is, so I shoved J5ss from the SB on him and he insta called with 56o. Ship step 6, right? Once again, wrong. Flushed on the river, gg me. So I basically sat reg'ed for another step 5 all day and another game didn't run at all. This is really getting aggrivating because I don't want to have to relegate to playing against good people. If I don't win a seat I'll be SUPER pissed, because I know I'm better than 95% of the people playing those steps. I've also decided to stop going out as often and only play nights, because the games at night are even easier than the day games. That, or the day games hated me today, as I took some horrendous beats. Anyway, here's some stats from the last few days:
5-9-09
Games Played - 27
Total Buy-Ins - 729
Total Cashes - 787.50
Total Profit - 58.50
5-8-09
Games Played - 12
Total Buy-Ins - 324
Total Cashes - 270
Total Profit - -54
Hopefully only playing nights will start to improve these stats. If I can achieve numbers I'm 98% sure I can playing at night, and start cranking out more tables (I'm just starting to get a feel for all the regs,) I should be able to pull off just under $1k a week profit, which I wouldn't mind at all.
Seeing as how I'll be up drinking in 4 1/2 hours, I bid you all farewell.
